House prices on one of Aberdeen’s most expensive streets have fallen by 20 per cent in a year, new data has revealed.

Property values on Rubislaw Den South, a tree-lined avenue in the city’s West End, have fallen dramatically over the past 12 months as the oil industry’s declining fortune pushes out investment, jobs and people.

Research by the Bank of Scotland produced a shortlist of the nation’s 20 most expensive streets using data from the Registers of Scotland.

However, the average property price on Rubislaw Den South, ranked this year as the second most expensive street in the city, fell from £1.516 million last year to £1.224 million.
