3 King Street in Brynmawr which could be the cheapest house in Britain after it went up for auction with Paul Fosh Auctions with a guide price of £8,000

A ONE-BEDROOM house in Brynmawr, Blaenua, might just be the cheapest in Britain - after it went up for aution with an £8,000 price tag.

But it needs a bit of work.

The house does have double glazing, but just one toilet, and that’s in the garden.

The house is being advertised by Paul Fosh Auctions of Newport.

Managing director Paul Fosh said: “Number 3 King Street is in a popular location and is well placed for access to the arterial A465 Heads of the Valleys link road.

“The house has UPVC double glazing with lounge and kitchen on the ground floor and single bedroom above.

“There’s a garden at the front and rear but you’ll have to have a resilient constitution as the loo is outside.

“The compact and appealing property, which could make an ideal commuter pad, would ideally benefit from full renovation and this is reflected in the keen guide price we’ve set at auction.”

The property will go under the hammer on February 13 at 5pm in The Park Inn Hotel in Llanedeyrn.
